1-Enrolment and Payment
1.1. Students must complete the required enrolment process and provide valid identification and any documents required by the driving school.
1.2. Full payment is required before the commencement of lessons unless an installment/payment plan has been approved by the school.
1.3. Where a payment plan has been approved, all payments must be made according to the agreed payment schedule. Failure to make a payment by the agreed due date may result in lessons being temporarily suspended until the outstanding payment is received.
2-Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Show Policy
2.1. Students must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule any scheduled in-car driving lesson.
2.2. If a student cancels or reschedules a lesson with less than 24 hours’ notice, or fails to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice (No-Show), a fee of $50 per scheduled hour will apply.
2.3. For example, if a student cancels or misses a 2-hour scheduled lesson, a $100 cancellation/no-show fee will apply.
2.4. The cancellation/no-show fee must be paid before any further in-car lessons can be scheduled or provided.
2.5. Exceptions may be considered in cases of genuine and unavoidable emergencies. Any exception will be subject to the school’s discretion.
2.6. The driving school reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, including instructor illness, vehicle issues, unsafe weather or road conditions, or other circumstances beyond the school’s reasonable control. In such cases, no cancellation fee will be charged to the student.
3-Attendance and Punctuality
3.1. Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons on time and be ready at the agreed location at the scheduled start time.
3.2. Late arrivals will not extend the scheduled lesson time. The lesson will end at the originally scheduled time, and no refund or credit will be provided for any time lost due to the student’s late arrival.
3.3. Students are responsible for carrying a valid G1 or G2 driver’s licence, as applicable, and any required corrective eyewear (eyeglasses or contact lenses) during all in-car training sessions and road tests.
4-Conduct and Behaviour
4.1. Students must behave respectfully and appropriately toward instructors, staff, and other students at all times.
4.2. Aggressive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. The school reserves the right to immediately end a lesson and/or terminate the student’s enrolment if such behaviour occurs.
4.3. Any refund, if applicable following termination of enrolment, will be handled in accordance with the school’s refund policy and applicable requirements.
5-Vehicle Use
5.1. The driving school provides properly insured and maintained vehicles for in-car lessons. Students are expected to use and treat school vehicles responsibly and with reasonable care.
5.2. Students must follow the instructor’s directions regarding the safe operation of the vehicle at all times.
5.3. Any incident involving damage to a school vehicle will be reviewed based on the circumstances of the incident and handled in accordance with applicable insurance requirements and school policies.
6-Safety and Compliance
6.1. Students must comply with all applicable traffic laws and follow the instructor’s safety directions during in-car lessons.
6.2. The instructor reserves the right to stop or end a lesson if the student’s actions or behaviour create an unsafe situation for the student, instructor, other road users, or the vehicle.
6.3. Students must inform the school or instructor of any restriction or condition shown on their driver’s licence that may affect their ability to participate in an in-car lesson.
7- Refund Policy
7.1. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the driving school.
7.2. Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with the school’s refund policy and applicable Ontario law.
7.3. No refund will be provided for any lessons, training hours, or services that have already been completed or provided.
7.4. Private Lessons: Under the School’s Refund Policy, any request for a refund of prepaid private lessons must be submitted within 3 days from the date of payment. After 3 days from the date of payment, all payments for private lessons are non-refundable.
7.5. BDE Course: Once the student has received access to the BDE online course link and has started the course, the BDE course payment becomes non-refundable. Refund requests made before the student begins the online course will be reviewed in accordance with the school’s refund policy and applicable Ontario law.
7.6. Any applicable cancellation, no-show, administrative, or other outstanding fees may be deducted from the refundable amount, where permitted by law.
7.7. Any approved refund will apply only to the eligible unused portion of the student’s package or services.
7.8. Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or removes any cancellation or refund rights that a student may have under applicable Ontario consumer protection legislation.
8. Privacy
8.1. The driving school respects and protects students’ personal information and will not disclose it to third parties except with the student’s consent, as required by law, or as necessary to provide the school’s services.
8.2. Personal information will be collected, used, and maintained only for purposes related to providing driving instruction and school services, including student registration, communication, scheduling, record-keeping, course administration, and other related administrative purposes.
8.3. The driving school will take reasonable measures to protect students’ personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
9-BDE Course Completion and Certification
9.1. The complete BDE program consists of 40 hours, including 30 hours of online instruction and 10 hours of in-car training. The entire program must be successfully completed within 365 days from the date the student starts the course.
9.2. Completion of the BDE course does not guarantee that the student will pass the G2 road test. Passing the road test is determined by the applicable licensing authority.
9.3. The driving school provides instruction, training, and support; however, each student is responsible for adequately preparing for the road test and demonstrating the required driving skills.
9.4. A student will not be eligible for BDE course completion and certification unless all required components of the program are successfully completed within the required 365-day period, including the 30-hour online course and 10 hours of in-car training.
9.5. Students must successfully complete all required online course assignments, quizzes, tests, and any required in-car evaluations in accordance with the BDE program requirements.
9.6. Upon successful completion of all BDE course requirements, the driving school will complete the required administrative procedures and submit the student’s course completion information electronically to the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
9.7. Students are responsible for successfully completing the entire 40-hour BDE program within 365 days from the course start date. If a student fails to complete all 40 hours within the 365-day period, the BDE program will be considered incomplete, and the student will be required to register and enrol in the BDE program again in order to complete the program and become eligible for certification.
9.8. After successfully completing the entire 40-hour BDE program, the student must contact the driving school to confirm that the certification process has been completed and to receive instructions regarding when to visit ServiceOntario. Once the student’s BDE course completion has been processed electronically, the student is responsible for visiting ServiceOntario to obtain their Driver’s Licence History (DLH) as official proof of BDE course completion. The driving school does not issue or provide a physical BDE certificate to the student.
10-Amendments
10.1. The driving school reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions when necessary, subject to applicable laws, regulations, and school policies.
10.2. Students will be notified of any significant changes to these Terms and Conditions that may affect their enrolment, payments, lessons, or course requirements.
10.3. Any amendments will take effect in accordance with the school’s policies and applicable Ontario laws and regulations. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will limit any rights students may have under applicable Ontario law.
